The Miners are the forest 'Pub Of The Year' 2010 and Restaurant Of the Year 2011. We stopped entering the awards and now enjoy sponsoring the Awards annually. We have been voted the ‘most loved forest business’ by locals and received a 'Highly Recommended' award from the industry Pub Of The Year Awards. In 2013 we received a 5 star excellence award from Trip Advisor.
Available for your party: The Miners enjoys 2 beer gardens, a substantial patio area as well as ‘The Carriage Room’ available for private functions (seating up to 70) and a skittle alley.

Local produce cooked with love
Enjoy an evening of foot tapping ‘Swing & Gypsy Jazz’, evoking the Paris jazz scene of the 1930’s and 1940’s. The Resident Club Django Band welcome guest soloists throughout the year. We are at the Miners Arms on the first Monday of every month, performances start at 8pm and admission is £5. Our events will be on the Miners Arms Facebook page.
Most Saturday nights will have some live music entertainment normally from 9.30 / 10pm after restaurant service. We are usually busy with local musos and visitors alike in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Free entry. Come join the party!
The Miners Arms ‘Open Mic Nights’ having running every Friday fortnight since 2005 and has been described (not by us I might add!) as legendary. The Forest’s only Folk and Acoustic club has its home at the Miners Arms. The Carriage Room has great acoustics and a proper platform stage. WE offer a warm and friendly atmosphere. Folk club meets on Sunday evenings on the first and third Sundays of every month. doors open 7.30pm for an 8pm start. There singers nights as well as guest performers to enjoy. The ‘Wellie’ is our free annual live music weekend long event featuring great music as well as local producer stalls. Welliefest is for all the family. It takes place annually on the last Bank Holiday in May raising money for local causes. The Miners Cottage is a 4* Visit Britain rated converted stable set within the grounds of The Miners Arms
The cottage sleeps three people (additional guests can utilise the sofa bed in the lounge). The cottage is furnished to a high standard. The farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, gas oven, hob, microwave and TV and leads through to a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The master bedroom has a double bed and a flat screen TV. It leads into an en-suite bathroom with bath as well as a double shower. The second bedroom is a single with use of a shower room situated next to the kitchen. Linen, towels and dressing gowns are provided. The lounge has a wide screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The second floor lounge has a double sofa bed. Wi-fi is included free of charge. You can take advantage of the fantastic views overlooking the forest from the balcony or relax in the hot tub after a days walking. There is also a BBQ available and secure storage for canoes or bikes.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £10.00 per dog, per stay.
